About Roselia M. Ortega, LCSW

Serving my community has always been more than a career—it is a passion and a personal commitment. I was born and raised in this community, and I am honored to continue giving back to the families and individuals who call it home.

For more than 10 years, I have had the opportunity to work alongside individuals, children, parents, and families in a variety of settings, including local nonprofit organizations, social service agencies, community clinics, and private practice. Throughout my career, I have served in roles ranging from case manager and group facilitator to licensed clinician. These experiences have allowed me to work alongside CPS social workers, support families involved in reunification services, facilitate parenting education, and work with individuals impacted by domestic violence.

As a Hispanic, bilingual professional who speaks both Spanish and English, I am grateful to have been able to connect with and support a diverse range of individuals and families. I believe that being able to communicate in a person’s preferred language can create a greater sense of comfort, trust, and connection—especially when discussing personal or difficult experiences.

Over the past decade, I have seen an increasing need for mental health support, not only at the individual level but also within families and parenting relationships. Parenting is rewarding, but it can also be incredibly challenging. There is truth in the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Parents often carry the weight of balancing parenting, careers, relationships, family responsibilities, and everyday life stressors, sometimes feeling as though they are expected to navigate it all on their own.

My approach is to meet clients where they are, without judgment. I believe every person and family has strengths, even during their most difficult seasons. My goal is to help clients identify those strengths, address their current needs, develop practical tools, and work toward goals that are meaningful to them.

I bring compassion, empathy, understanding, and respect into my work with every client. Having spent much of my career working with children and families—and being a parent myself—I understand that parenting and family life do not come with a perfect instruction manual. I know how easy it can be to feel judged or overwhelmed when trying to balance the many responsibilities of life.

As a parent of three and a first-generation college graduate, I understand the importance of perseverance, community, and having people who believe in you. My professional experience, personal experiences, and connection to the community have shaped the way I provide support today.

I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and respected. Whether you are navigating personal challenges, parenting concerns, family relationships, or life transitions, you do not have to navigate them alone.
